Nestled on a Midwestern family farm,
Meadowlark Made was born from a desire to return to the nourishing, slow beauty rituals of our foremothers. What began as a mother-daughter endeavor has grown into a full prairie apothecary inspired by faith, seasons, and the land we call home.
How It All Began
Our story began when my firstborn needed gentle, safe skin care - and nothing on the shelves felt right. With a background in holistic esthetics and a combined passion for using wholesome ingredients and ancestral traditions, my mom and I teamed up to handcraft skincare and body care that we could trust for our family. Together we turned our kitchen experiments into our first healing balm. Seeing the incredible benefits of these products, we decided to turn our labor of love into a business. This is more than just skincare. It’s about honoring where we come from - our family’s farming roots, our prairie grandmothers, our faith - and making something that could safely nurture others, too.
From Our Family Farm to Your Skin
Meadowlark Made starts at our Veteran-owned small farm. We’ve raised heritage Kunekune pigs on pasture since 2018, believing in full-circle stewardship and honoring every part of the animal. This is also where we grow medicinal plants and handcraft each product in small batches. Tallow became the heart of our formulas; not just for the nourishing benefits, but because it connected us to the land, our animals, and the people we serve.
