Ingredients:

  • Pasture-raised pork tallow is INCREDIBLY high in Vitamin D!

In addition to Vitamin D, E, A, Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids, pasture-raised pork tallow also contains CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which has anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties. Its natural composition can help soothe irritation and reduce redness, making it ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

The high content of saturated fats and lipids nourishes and protects the skin barrier, helping to prevent water loss and lock in moisture. Its composition is biologically similar to the lipids of our skin, making it highly effective for all skin types, even those with sensitive or reactive skin. It’s an excellent moisturizer that hydrates deeply without clogging pores.

Pork tallow from humanely & ethically raised hogs on our family farm in Iowa.

  • Argan oil is great for all skin types, including acne-prone.

The majority of the fat content of argan oil comes from oleic (Omega-9) and linoleic (Omega-6) essential fatty acids.

While linoleic acid can reduce inflammation and acne, and increase skin moisture; oleic acid can improve the skin’s permeability and assist other ingredients in permeating the skin more easily.

Argan oil is also very high in Vitamin A, Vitamin E, & antioxidants.

  • Almond oil has been used for centuries to soothe the skin and treat minor wounds and cuts. It has been used in ancient Chinese and Ayurvedic practices to treat skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Almond oil is an effective moisturizer and healing ingredient for many different skin types. It's noncomedogenic, which means it's unlikely to cause clogged pores or breakouts.

More than soothing dry skin, almond oil can improve complexion and skin tone. It’s highly emollient, which means it helps to balance the absorption of moisture and water loss. Because it is antibacterial and full of vitamin A, almond oil can be used to treat acne. Its concentration of vitamin E can also help to heal sun damage, reduce the signs of aging, and reduce appearance of stretch marks and scars.

  • Organic shea butter is a rich, all-natural moisturizer with a wide range of benefits for the skin. It deeply hydrates, making it perfect for dry, cracked, or irritated skin, and its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and sunburns.

Packed with vitamins A and E, shea butter promotes skin elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines, stretch marks, and wrinkles. It also aids in healing minor cuts, scars, and abrasions by supporting skin cell regeneration.

The rich fatty acids in shea butter help protect the skin from environmental stressors, making it an excellent anti-aging ingredient. Gentle enough for sensitive skin, including that of babies, shea butter is a versatile and highly effective addition to your skincare routine.

  • Castor oil is a highly effective natural ingredient great for a variety of skin and body concerns. Rich in ricinoleic acid, it has powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it ideal for soothing irritated or inflamed skin.

Castor oil deeply moisturizes dry skin, promoting softness and hydration without feeling greasy, and can be particularly helpful for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and acne.

Its ability to stimulate collagen production supports skin elasticity, making it a great option for reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks.

Castor oil also aids in the healing of minor cuts, scars, and burns by encouraging faster cell regeneration. Thanks to its anti-fungal and antibacterial qualities, it can help treat and prevent fungal infections or bacterial skin issues. Whether used to hydrate, repair, or protect, castor oil is a versatile and effective ingredient promoting healthier, smoother, and more radiant skin.

  • Beeswax forms a protective barrier on the skin’s surface, protecting skin from environmental irritants and harsh weather. Beeswax is also a humectant, meaning it locks in moisture to prevent water loss, helping skin stay soft and hydrated.

Beeswax is anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, and germicidal. These properties make a highly stable base ingredient, extending the product’s life.

Beeswax has fantastic skin-softening properties and enhances skin’s elasticity, helping reduce the signs of aging. It’s also important to note that beeswax is particularly beneficial for those with sensitive skin, as it’s very unlikely to cause skin irritation.

  • Rosemary contains a number of powerful substances, including carsonic acid, rosmarinic acid, and carnosol, which offer anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, & antioxidant effects.

Molecules in rosemary essential oil are absorbed through the skin and impact pain pathways in several ways, including targeting pleasure memory sites in the brain and interacting with receptor sites for neurotransmitters involved in pain pathways.

  • Peppermint oil has been used for health purposes for thousands of years. Records have shown ancient civilizations in Greece, Rome, and Egypt mention it’s use for digestion disorders as well as other conditions.

In aromatherapy it’s used for treating coughs, the common cold, reducing pain, reducing stress, headaches, and improving mental function. When applied topically, it’s also great for headaches, muscle aches, and joint pain.

  • Benzoin essential oil is often called vanilla essential oil because of it’s sweet, warm, rich aroma.

In aromatherapy, benzoin essential oil is known to alleviate stress while promoting positive thinking, and having an uplifting effect on the body and mind.

Benzoin oil also has astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
