With a background in esthetics and a passion for using pure, wholesome ingredients, they teamed up to handcraft skincare and body care that they could trust for their family.     Our Everyday Essentials are the heart of Meadowlark Made - timeless, year-round staples crafted for daily nourishment. From whipped tallow butters to herbal salves to lip balms, each formula is rooted in tradition, made with farm-grown ingredients, and designed to support skin naturally through every season.

    Our Products

  • Our tallow is slow-rendered from pasture-raised pigs on our small farm in Iowa. We embrace a “whole use, zero waste” philosophy, ensuring sustainability, honoring the life of each pig, and carrying forward ancestral traditions.

  • Pigs are exceptional at synthesizing and storing vitamin D from sunlight, and that sunshine gets locked into their fat. When pigs are raised outdoors on pasture, like ours, their tallow becomes an abundant source of vitamin D, a nutrient most modern skincare lacks.

  • We handcraft our products in small batches to ensure the highest level of quality and care in every item. This approach allows us to maintain the integrity of the ingredient, delivering fresh, effective, carefully made products you can trust.

  • We infuse our oils with Native growing prairie herbs like yarrow, dandelion, chickweed, and little mallow: grown on our small farm or hand-harvested from clean, unsprayed land.

Why Pork Tallow?

We love that more and more people are turning back to ancestral ingredients - and tallow is one of the most nourishing.

Our skincare is made with pasture-raised pork tallow from Kunekune pigs on our family farm. Like beef tallow, it’s rich in skin-loving vitamins A, D, E, and K; but pork tallow contains especially high levels of vitamin D, a key nutrient for skin repair and radiance.

It also has a lighter texture and milder scent than beef tallow, creating a silky, easily absorbed balm that feels as good as it is for you.

Our Farm

Meadowlark Made begins on our small, family farm where heritage Kunekune pigs graze on open pasture and medicinal herbs grow in the prairie wind. This is where we slow-render tallow, gather botanicals, and carry on the work of generations before us. Everything we make is guided by faith, shaped by the seasons, and starts here.
